Foreclosure Summons
There is a new law affecting service of summons in Illinois Mortgage Foreclosure cases only. The new law took affect in August 2011. It only applies to service of summons in foreclosure cases. If you have not been served, but you show up in court anyway, the law gives you only sixty days to object to service. Otherwise you are deemed to have waived service. Do not go to court if you do not know whether you have been served. You could loose valuable time in your residence. Always check with an attorney before you go to court. Free consultation is a call away at 708 656-9900
