Sheriff Stepped Up Evictions In September
Ever since September 15, 2011, the Sheriff of Cook County has stepped up the speed with which evictions of former homeowners has taken place. However the change has been sporadic. The Sheriff no longer posts two orange posting notices on the front door of the premises. Now he only posts a single notice. The notice gives the occupants seven days to come in with proof that someone other than the former owners resides or receives mail at the premises. If you receive such a notice do not hesitate to go to room 701 at the Daley Center at 50 W. Washington, Chicago, IL, 60601. Any notice you receive please bring it to your attorney or come visit me at 5947 W. 35th, Cicero, IL 60804 at the corner of Austin and 35th street. Our number is 708 656-9900 if you would like to make an appointment to receive a free consultation.
